Professional simultaneous interpreter Interpreting
experience and references
I have been working since 2.000 as a conference interpreter in Italian, English and German, providing specialist services in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting and chuchotage.
Defence and weapons
This sector is my great passion. I have worked as simultaneous interpreter and translator for the defence sector and the arms
industry, translating into Italian, English and German to support customers including the arms manufacturers Beretta, Benelli and OTO Melara, the Italian Navy and the Italian Defence Staff.
My experience in the arms sector stems from a passion for ancient weapons and military strategy that started when I was a young and included a very fortunate period working as a voluntary assistant restorer at the Luigi Marzoli arms museum. Today, alongside my professional work as conference interpreter, I continue to study history and military events, committed to the dissemination of information also through the organisation of events and conferences on the subject.

Legal, financial and management
My career as legal and financial translator and interpreter includes more than 600 interpreting assignments and over 9,000 pages translated. The companies for which I had the honour and pleasure of translating include the European Union, Allianz, LCF Rothschild, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, PWC, Schroders, LGT, CONSOB, AGCM, UBP, McKinsey, BlackRock, the Italian Superior Council of the Magistracy, the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance and the French Court of Cassation.
My profession as a translator and interpreter has benefited from the skills I have acquired as a business owner, as founder and manager of seven companies in Italy, UK, Spain, Colombia and Peru, tackling the classic problems of internationality on a legal, economic, financial and administrative level and in terms of human resource management and production processes. These practical skills help me to understand economic and legal dynamics and to produce and informed and, therefore, accurate translation.

Technical and marketing
I have been working alongside manufacturing companies since 1998, providing services in simultaneous interpreting, translation and negotiation. My clients include leading international companies such as Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Epson, Ford, Dupont, Ansaldo, Leonardo (formerly Finmeccanica) and Armani but also local businesses that need technical language support in their production, sales and marketing.
The technical fields in which I have worked most as an interpreter include engineering, energy, transport and fashion, while the industry in which I have a special personal interest is defence and arms. To date, I have delivered over 5,000 services in technical and marketing translation and interpreting with a special focus on simultaneous technical and commercial interpreting.

Culture
I am passionate about history and philosophy and I devote a good proportion of my time to studying these subjects. Therefore, my services as an interpreter in these areas are particularly highly valued.
When I was young, I wanted to be a history professor and restorer of ancient weapons but life led me to study translation and interpreting and to launch a successful career in foreign languages.
The key clients who have benefited from my history and culture interpreting services include the Regional Authorities of Tuscany and Lombardy, the Municipal Authority of Venice, the Brescia Museums Foundation, the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Bruno Kessler Foundation, the Complutense University of Madrid and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
Today, in addition to my work as interpreter, I promote seminars and conferences in the cultural sphere, through my association Stupor Mundi, which I hope you may come to know and appreciate soon, as a disseminator of information on history, archaeology and spirituality.

Medicine and science
As the son of a doctor, my first experience of medicine was at home and I continued to learn by working as a scientific interpreter,
in particular simultaneous interpreting for medical and pharmaceutical conferences. Despite not being a doctor, I have studied medical terminology and I ensure competent understanding of the related concepts by undertaking careful preparation ahead of delivery of interpreting services and referring to my experience at numerous conferences over the years. I have translated mainly for the Italian Ministry of Health, Wolters Kluwer and the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale. Since 2003, I have participated in a variety of medical conferences, especially in Milan and Brescia, for a total of over 450 days of interpreting (simultaneous, consecutive and chuchotage).
