About me
My legal, economic and industrial experience that has shaped me as an interpreter
I was born in Brescia in 1977 and completed my university studies in language mediation, translation and simultaneous interpreting in Milan in 2000, specialising in Italian, English and German.
In 1996, I began working on a new model of translation and interpreting agency, which is based on the absolute commitment of personnel and on the search for improved translation work processes, with a focus on metaphysical, as well as physical, objectives.
My group, SMG, today includes leading agencies in legal, financial, political and industrial translation and interpreting, such as Studio Moretto Group, Studio Interpreti Milano and SMG UK Translations Ltd, with offices in London, Madrid, Milan, Brescia and in Latin America.
I have also gained business experience as founder and manager of companies in catering, entertainment and events planning, such as SMG Meeting and the Stupor Mundi Jazz Club.
These years of experience, with all the highs and lows, help me
to understand the economic, legal, business and political dynamics that I come up against whilst interpreting for my clients, enabling me to act as a quasi-consultant, where required, offering a service that goes beyond a simple translation.
In science and industry, I have worked as a simultaneous interpreter in Italian, English and German translating mainly speeches and discussions on medicine, engineering and defence.
